New Brighton Spring Music Festival - Sunday 18 October 2015

My name is Raewyn Murray and I'm a local of New Brighton for 50 years now.  I'm married to my Irish Souvenir (David) and a mum of 4 very talented girls.  My girls are actually 4th Generation on our property.  I'm a Photographer and Home Stay. I also work at the beautiful Isaac Theatre Royal.

 

This is my first time being an Event Organiser and have had a great time doing it.  It's been a lot of hard work but it will be worth it. This is a Fundraising event which started as an idea from (Venkata) Sud who manages both Pierside Cafe & Bar and South of India, two great local places in New Brighton.  It was his idea to make it a Fundraiser and a Pay it Foward to the community.

 

Sud said he wanted to do this asked if I would help. I jumped at the chance to do something like this, never done before but thought "give it a go".

 

From there I just started what any Committee would do and sorted bands, stage, sound etc and here we have it - an outing to support two of our local schools and to bring out community even more closer.  What better way than with music.

 

So there you go.  I hope you all have a great time at this event - we plan on doing this as an Annual event for a different school or kindergarten.
